Instructor Mike Price is and has been certified by (HSI) to provide high quality 1st Aid, CPR, AED classes. Classes offered are in full detail including mandatory hands on training. While some courses offer you the online web based trainings, Mike prefers to have the one on one with all students to ensure that they not only have all the basic requirements done but also takes the time to answer all questions and gives any extra time and information to the students to make sure they all leave class confident if and when the time comes to save a life.
ADULT FIRST AID | CPR AED
The purpose of the HSI First Aid | CPR AED training program is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in First Aid, CPR, and AED skills.
HSI First Aid | CPR AED has been approved by the HSI Medical Advisory Board and reviewed by the HSI Advisory Council. Reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).
Conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update.
Student certification requirements
• Written evaluation: Required when specified by organizational, local, or state regulation. It is recommended for designated responders with a duty or employer expectation to respond in an emergency and provide first aid care.
• Performance evaluation: All students must perform required skills competently without assistance.

Radar Protection Services offers both 1st time Unarmed Security Professional courses that is a total of 14hrs broken into 2 days and also offers a refreshers course that is a total of 4hrs that can be taken in 1 day.
Description
This course includes all the basic elements required to become certified as a Unarmed Security Professional in the state of Oregon. The class is taught by a Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) certified Unarmed Instructor and the course consists of book learning and exercises. This course is intended for those looking to get into the private security industry as well as those who are new hires and need to receive their basic certification. Certification is good for 2 years upon application acceptance from the Department of Public Safety and Standards. Please bring a valid form of government issued photo ID to class to be checked in and be issued your proof of class taken also known as a PS6. All PS6's will be issued after completion of course and passing of assessments.
Eligibility:
Unarmed Private security providers must be:
At least 18 years of age; and
Must have earned one of the following:
A high school diploma; a General Education Development (GED) certificate; or a four-year, post-secondary degree issued by an accredited degree-granting college or university.
Be of good moral fitness as determined by a criminal background check, department investigation or other reliable sources. A lack of good moral fitness includes, but is not limited to, mandatory and discretionary disqualifying misconduct as described in OAR 259-060-0300. Security professionals must demonstrate the Core Values of: Honesty, Good Character, Public Trust, Fair Treatment of Others, Respect for the laws of this state and nation.

An application packet must be submitted to DPSST after conclusion of the course, the packet must include:
PS-1 (Application for Licensure or Certification requesting to be a Private Security Services Provider);
A completed fingerprint card. Proof of completing Fieldprint or Livescan electronic fingerprints is the easiest way and is typically more reliable than ink fingerprinting due to the quality, ink finger prining is still available). If you choose Fieldprint, you will need the Fieldprint Code to make your appointment, the code is: FPPSCertificationDPSST Once you have made your appointment you will receive an email confirmation with a confirmation number, include that email in your application packet to DPSST. Make sure to attend your appointment!
Your completed PS-6 form that you will recive from the instructor after complition of the course and testing.
If currently employed, a completed Form PS-20 (Private Security Services Provider Temporary Work Permit). This must be completed in triplicate; one copy goes to DPSST (the WHITE copy, if using the carbon-paper version of the form), one copy you carry with you, and one copy goes in your personnel file with your employer. The form must be signed both by you, and an employing DPSST-certified Supervisory or Executive Manager within your company.
Nonrefundable Unarmed Certification license fee AND the background check fee. THIS FEE IS SEPARATE FROM THE CLASS FEE AND MUST BE PAID TO DPSST DIRECTLY. The current DPSST fee schedule can be found here.
